We have offered these services in a variety of forms for more than 30 years as part of our commitment to support doctors and their patients.
These services are by appointment only. Your patient will be required to make an appointment by calling (07) 3146 5127.
Intravenous iron is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency when oral iron preparations are ineffective or cannot be used. The diagnoses must be based on laboratory tests.
The patient is required to read the information provided on the Iron Infusion Request Form, as well as QML Pathology’s patient information sheet. Patient Consent Form be signed and an upfront payment for service will be required.
This is a test only and not a treatment for poorly functioning adrenal glands. Synacthen® is not suitable for patients with certain conditions and some medications may affect the results of the test. See the dedicated Synacthen® request form or contact QML Pathology for more details.
Patients should be advised they will receive an Intramuscular Tetracosactrin injection and will need to allow at least one and a half hours to be in the unit.
This service incurs an annual fee and patients will require a new referral every 12 months for ongoing Therapeutic Venesection. Please see the Therapeutic Venesection Registration Form for further details. Concession rates will apply to all patients over the age of 65 and under the age of 18. DVA card holders will also eligible for concession rates.

When the patient presents at the collection clinic with their new referral they will be required to pay the annual fee by credit card or debit card on-site before their Venesection.
Please provide a copy of the Therapeutic Venesection registration form to your patient with their next referral.
