Biography

Dr. Andrew Don-Wauchope has joined Laverty Pathology in 2023 offering a broad medical experience including a rotating internship, five years of practice as a primary care (general) practitioner, 3 years of internal medicine registrar training, 1 year of post-doctoral research and 4 years of registrar training in chemical pathology, followed by 20 years of practice in laboratory and clinical medicine with a focus on endocrinology. He is an experienced laboratory physician with proven leadership skills, a wide range of experience in clinical practice, laboratory medicine, development of national and international clinical practice guidelines, and an ability to draw from experiences in six countries to support high quality, patient focused clinical laboratory services.

Dr. Don-Wauchope is a Professor of Pathology and Molecular Medicine with cross appointment to Endocrinology in the division of Internal Medicine at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. In this role he supports the training of registrars in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology as well as the trainees in laboratory medicine.
