Biography

Dr Ferris Satyaputra is a clinical microbiologist and infectious diseases physician. He completed his medical degree from James Cook University (JCU) in 2009. Following his basic physician training, he undertook infectious diseases specialty training at Princess Alexandra Hospital and Mater Hospital Brisbane, and microbiology training at Townsville University Hospital Laboratory, Pathology Queensland, and Mater Pathology. In 2023, he received fellowships from the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. In addition to his current role at QML Pathology, he serves as an infectious diseases specialist at Logan Hospital.

Special interests

Dr Satyaputra's areas of interest include bacteriology, especially syphilis and melioidosis; diagnostic and antimicrobial stewardship, diabetic foot infection, and bone and joint infection.
