Biography

Dr. James Yeung is a clinical and laboratory haematologist and general physician. He specialises across the spectrum of haematological disorders with an interest in bleeding and clotting disorders. Dr Yeung completed his specialist haematology training at Royal Prince Alfred and Concord Hospitals, and his general and acute care medicine training at Dubbo Hospital. He has accumulated experience in the management of malignant disorders, bleeding and clotting disorders, haematological issues in the elderly, obstetric haematology, cellular therapies, and clinical trials amongst others. His current clinical appointments are at the Sydney Adventist and Canterbury Hospitals and enjoys a laboratory appointment at Laverty Pathology.

Dr. Yeung is involved in clinical research in anticoagulation and its application in the real world. He has collaborated within Australia and abroad, and across medical disciplines in his research. Dr Yeung is also engaged in education for medical students, junior medical officers and specialist trainees, as well as publishing education articles for General Practitioners through the Australian Doctor Group. He is a member in numerous professional organisations including the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand, International Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis, American Society of Hematology and the Internal Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Dr. Yeung speaks Cantonese and Mandarin.
